In Honor Of My Grandmother This Mother’s Day

Grandmother with Andy Wolfe and brother sitting in chair

Today, I honor my grandmother.

In yoga, there is an invitation to offer practice to a loved one, who is perhaps unable.

I offer my practice to you, Nanix.

You've always taken the time to pause and offer me your caring attention, no matter what's going on.

I remember so fondly driving with the top down on sunny afternoons to go to a matinee as a kid, and you'd always let Syd and me choose the movie.

The summers at the beach when you rented a house for a month so we could all relax and enjoy together.

Stopping to smell honeysuckle on the walk to dinner.

And the time you flew Syd and me to Canada for a week, trying out different fun themed hotel rooms, just because one of us had asked...

You've stood behind me through thick and thin, highs and lows...your love unwavering.

I can reliably turn to you for advice in times of need, without fear of judgement.

Thank you deeply, Nanix 🙏🏻. I love you 💙.
